Two standards, 26 cantons
Machine-readable annual accounts: we are in the thick of it. We follow what the cantons, the SSK and eCH publish, as it appears — 255 documents so far, each dated, each checkable. Out of that comes the map from a finished Jahresrechnung to an accepted submission: what already carries, what is still open, and how you can tell when it moves. New source, new version — we keep up.

Annual accounts are to reach the cantonal tax office in machine-readable form. The format for that is published. What we worked through is what today sits between a finished file and an accepted submission: 255 primary documents, every statement carrying its source and date.
Three things determine the route, and all three are on the record: a login issued to a natural person · a contractual framework its own custodian describes as still to be created · and an instruction that does not appear in some 33'000 words of cantonal documentation.
